Halloween Marketing the Right Way
You don’t have to be a candy store or costume shop to use Halloween to your marketing advantage, as long as you’re just a little bit creative.
Here are some easy ways to use Halloween to your marketing advantage:
- Think about what potential customers are looking for. Could you offer Halloween makeup tips? Halloween costume ideas? A list of parties in your area? Don’t give information that has absolutely nothing to do with your products or services, but be creative! Come up with unique ideas!
- Create a funny video with your employees. Dress up in costumes, or figure out a fun way to incorporate something scary into your services or products. Video content is one of the best ways to get potential customers to react.
- If your company has a Halloween party, post pictures or videos of your employees having fun together. Showing your company culture and how your employees interact with each other could do wonders for your brand.
- Have a pumpkin carving contest or a costume contest on your Facebook page. It will allow your fans to interact with your brand. Make sure that you offer a prize that people will want, whether that’s an iPad or a free sample of your product.
- Use keyword tools like Google Alerts to figure out what people are searching about Halloween. Try to tie that into social media and your marketing.
- PSPrint.com suggests that you create a promotional material – like a flier, sales book etc. – incorporating your products or services into ghost stories or creepy history facts.
- Send out postcards with Halloween sales or promotions. Incorporate scary Halloween images into the design of the postcards.
